AVPNext Volleyball Tournaments


Dawn Patrol is excited to offer an AVPNext sanctioned tournament July 5, 2015! AVPNext is the official developmental program of the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour. It serves as the exclusive “qualification circuit” for elite amateur players to earn AVP qualification points, a national ranking and entry into AVP main draws. Additionally, one men’s and one women’s team will receive the ultimate prize, a wild card berth into the main draw of the most prestigious beach volleyball tournament in the country, the 2015 AVP Manhattan Beach Open.

Division: Open

Prizes: awarded to top 3 teams 1st $300/ 2nd $175/ 3rd $75

Format:

  • Pool play, followed by single elimination playoffs

  • Teams will be seeded based on their volleyamerica rankings. 

 

Fees: $10 late fee for any team that pays on the beach

  • MO & WO: $80

 

National Memberships:  Volley America membership required for all players: $15/player ($20 if done at the beach). All memberships run from 1/1 to 12/31 of the calendar year. membership fees will be used to fund $25,000 Grand Prix for all same sex divisions, National Ranking System, end of season championships and insurance coverage.

Directions: Ocean Pkwy between Robert Moses Causeway and Wantagh Pkwy (Jones Beach). Use Southern State Pkwy to access causeway or Wantagh Pkwy to Ocean Pkwy to beach; Parking $30/car. PLEASE CARPOOL

From East, take Sunrise Hwy to Robert Moses Causeway. Make right (head west) over drawer bridge on Ocean Parkway towards Jones Beach. Beach is 5 miles from bridge on your left.

From NYC: Long Island Expressway (Rt. 495) east to Northern State east to Meadowbrook Pkwy south towards Jones Beach. Meadowbrook Pkwy changes into the Ocean Parkway and heads east. Go past large water tower in middle of parkway 8 miles to Cedar Beach on your right.

TRAIN: LIRR to Wantagh, then take cab to Cedar Beach (please check with cab ahead of time for exact fee)
